If you have already changed the router, you can not ask chromecast to forget the previous wifi, but it is OK.
- Connect phone to the new wifi.
- Open Google Home on the phone, delete device.
- Reset chromecast by pressing the reset button for 25 seconds. Now, I found it necessary to unplug the power, and replug —- only after this step, the chromecast is showing white light. When it was orange light, my phone could find it, but couldn’t connect to it.
