\u00a0I took my mom to Hawaii as well.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Flight: From Las Vegas to Honolulu (on Oahu island), 6 hours, time difference is 3 hours, ~$ 220 per person one-way.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8211; Before going to Hawaii, we stayed in Las Vegas for two nights. \u00a0Our flight to Honolulu was delayed. \u00a0At first, the plane was called back from the take-off lane to add more fuel (wasn&#8217;t it weird?). \u00a0Then, we had to wait for the storm to pass by. \u00a0The airline blamed weather for the delay, and only gave us drinks. \u00a0We were supposed to get to Honolulu by 9PM, but we ended up arriving after 1AM. \u00a0Not a good start!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accommodation: Hostel International (HI) Honolulu Waikiki, $25 per person per night.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8211; I booked two beds in a six-bed female room. \u00a0Surprisingly, the staff there gave us an individual room! \u00a0The room has a bunk bed and a restroom. \u00a0The location of the hostel is super &#8211; just two blocks from the BEST part of Waikiki Beach. \u00a0They also have various beach stuffs &#8211; we always borrow a bodyboard.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_518\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-518\" style=\"width: 525px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-518\" src=\"https:\/\/dxlontheroad.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/06\/Hawaii-Waikiki-Beach-1024x575.jpg\" alt=\"Hawaii Waikiki Beach\" width=\"525\" height=\"295\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dxlontheroad.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/06\/Hawaii-Waikiki-Beach-1024x575.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/dxlontheroad.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/06\/Hawaii-Waikiki-Beach-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dxlontheroad.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/06\/Hawaii-Waikiki-Beach-768x431.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 525px) 100vw, 525px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-518\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hawaii Waikiki Beach<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&#8211; I hope one day we can take Fu to Waikiki. \u00a0Beach is surely the heaven for kids!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_520\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-520\" style=\"width: 525px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-520\" src=\"https:\/\/dxlontheroad.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/06\/Hawaii-Waikiki-beach-1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Hawaii Waikiki beach\" width=\"525\" height=\"394\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dxlontheroad.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/06\/Hawaii-Waikiki-beach-1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/dxlontheroad.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/06\/Hawaii-Waikiki-beach-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dxlontheroad.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/06\/Hawaii-Waikiki-beach-1-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 525px) 100vw, 525px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-520\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hawaii Waikiki beach<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"attachment_521\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-521\" style=\"width: 525px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-521 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/dxlontheroad.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/06\/Hawaii-Waikiki-beach-2-1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Hawaii Waikiki beach\" width=\"525\" height=\"394\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dxlontheroad.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/06\/Hawaii-Waikiki-beach-2-1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/dxlontheroad.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/06\/Hawaii-Waikiki-beach-2-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dxlontheroad.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/06\/Hawaii-Waikiki-beach-2-1-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 525px) 100vw, 525px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-521\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hawaii Waikiki beach<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>Places visited: Waikiki Beach, Pearl Harbor, the Island of Hawaii (Big Island)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8211; I am so glad that we went to the Big Island. \u00a0That&#8217;s the best part of this trip \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Restaurant: Marukame Udon (<span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">\u4e38\u4e80\u88fd\u9eba)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8211; We went there three times. \u00a0Every time there was a long line. \u00a0Luckily the line moves fast, as the service there is fast. \u00a0Basically you pick the type of soup (pre-made) for the udon noodle. \u00a0They have tasty tempura too!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Several posts will be devoted to my Hawaii trip. \u00a0Here are some general information.
